Established in 1999 as a procurement solutions provider, Commerce Dot Com Sdn. Bhd. (CDC) is a government-linked company under the Ministry of Finance whereby the ministry’s corporate arm, Ministry of Finance (Incorporated), holds a golden share in the company. With over 20 years of experience under its belt, CDC has established itself as among the leading procurement solutions providers in Malaysia and has a well-earned reputation for providing exceptional services through its innovative solutions.

CDC’s flagship product, ePerolehan, which was successfully launched in the year 2000, has played an important role in revolutionising the Government’s procurement process, while also driving the country towards a digital economy. The system, which was developed under a Private-Public Partnership (PPP) between CDC and the Government through the Ministry of Finance, has grown to become one of the largest Government-to-business (G2B) virtual marketplaces in Malaysia. To date, nearly 4,000 offices of various government agencies were ePerolehan enabled and over 180,000 businesses from across the country have been registered as government suppliers under ePerolehan. The adoption of the web-based procurement system has been proven to be efficient and effective in maximising Government spending, while also contributing to improving transparency and accountability across government agencies.

The company has expanded its business over the years to offer diverse services and products through the establishment of wholly-owned subsidiary companies—Puncak Hartanah Intelek Sdn Bhd (PHI), Commerce Access Sdn Bhd (CASB), and CDC International Sdn Bhd (CDCi). PHI, which is an investment property company was established in 2003 to offer office rental services mainly in the Klang Valley. CASB on the other hand was set up in 2009 as a customer contact centre service provider, allowing the CDC Group of companies to provide integrated customer service to its customers while also diversifying its business. CDCi was formed much later in 2014 to provide procurement solutions to a wider range of organisations including statutory bodies, institutions of higher learning, and government-linked companies.
